Better ability is the aim and ‘open’ to judge.
The upmarket industry is equipped with bio-markers or sensors, tracking horse movement and haplotype advancement.
Nevertheless and optimistically, I’m supposing pen n’ paper will do, and a good Eye can still make things happen. (wink)

Unfortunately the subject, a Contributor filly I was to review…. has been mixed up in loads of paperwork. Never mind.
There however were two distinctive from New Zealand’s Ready to Run sale 2021 that got me excited.

I’ve insisted for a long time the elements must come together and pedigrees are both relevant and not relevant. As looking at a pedigree it must surpass, or rather arouse genetic quality buried beneath. More subtlety is the better…
This genetic quality - is, as prototype character the chase. (see below).
Bringing Type and esteeming mitochondrial carrier distinctive/true/dominant (what throws genotype/pedigree) is ‘carried-on’ thru familial character(s). With this focus I strongly suggest, they can be designed or ‘seen’ by old-fashioned crafted analysis, & as will harnessing science.

Both are familial ancestress to Sunshot, a Carbine daughter. Carbine the sire of Spearmint the sire of Plucky Leige through her sons Admiral Drake, Sir Gallahad, Bull Dog, Bois Roussel.
